Tata Broadband Billing woes
Just when I thought everything was going fine with my new Tata Indicom Broadband Connection, something always comes up and spoils the whole deal. It hadnt been more than 20 days for this connection, as i got the connection on 15th July. And here I am within 20 days getting my first bill mailed in the morning by courier. What was shocking though is that the plan I am enrolled in costs 800 rs. Per month . The installation Charges were 2606 rs. for the router connection which I had paid them in advance. And now i get a bill for 20 days usage claimed to be a 1 month bill charging me as follows:
Monthly Charges Rs. 800
Pro-rata Monthly Charges. Rs.500
Service tax. Rs.130
Education Cess. Rs.3
So the total bill has come up to be a shocking 1433 Rs. I would have to get this whole billing system cleared up tommorow morning after getting in touch on their customer care numbers. This is just what i didn’t expect from Tata as I gave them the first preference over Reliance offers who are well known for their billing goof-ups. I just hope everything clears out and the whole billing scheme becomes crystal clear.
Would update this post once i get a clear idea about each of the billing parameters.

My company too got a 14000 Rs. bill. for a 512 kbps 10GB transfer plan. Since the line was down most of the times (but up on weekends) we managed to use only 900MB of capacity.
huh what a mess they have of their billing system.
and by the way what was that education cess?
