Oops..
A few days back, I recieved a mail from Tata Indicom Broadband stating the infection from the Sober.ag worm . They apparently seemed to offer a one month trial copy Trend Micro antivirus software. They had also made a offer to subscribe for the same antivirus service for a small sum of 50 Rs. per month.
Back then, I thought it was just another gimmick to procure more money from their customers. I was wrong. I figured it out last night on News.com, that ISP’s were asked to do the same to clean the infection.
That just shows how narrow minded we are at times. Makes me think for a while, ISPs are not that bad in India except for the bandwidth they provide.

hmm
don’t call a connection broadband when it doesn’t give ya 256kbps.
btw, when’s your connection speed gonna double?

never @ anuj
these rocking dudes make a dedicated 512kbps adsl line for me, splited to 4 connections. and selling them as broadband to 3 other ppl. 4/1 type connection
nothing else to say , you get the point. Right now i have 128kbps activated on server, but the actual line is max 64kbps for me. other 3 too suffering from same most probably but havent come to know of the same. doesnt matter much does it?
so its just top priorities like downloading proggies, lost episodes here and there , just being online with this 64k line

I have had a pathetic experience with Tata Indicom Broadband! After taking the deposit and promising the connection within 4 days, they took 4 months to realise that they don’t have the last mile connectivity in my area (Lamington Road)
We had to make plenty of phone calls for this and there was complete lack of information even at the highest point of authority. Then we applied for MTNL. As promised, it was up & running in 7 days flat! I have written more about my displesure with VSNL/Tata Indicom here.

Hi Sourabh,
Please remove all direct link referencing to tata indicom broadband site as you are helping him in attaining ranking in google for the term. Please link to
http://seolion.blogspot.com/2006/12/tata-indicom-broadband-india-worst.html
and help me in making it rank ahead of them so that people come to know how bad is their service.

Hello seolion, Everyone is well aware what Tata Broadband is all about. No one in their sane minds go for it unless they have no other option. If you want to spread the word about your issue, fine. I am adding the link for the same in this article.
Just for your information, my connection was down for 4 months and they never gave me any downtime credit. After 6 months of those issues, I discontinued and lateron recieved legal notices to pay the bill. Now they even reached a settlement of 2k from 6k. I am not gonna pay anything to the losers. Here’s another boo boo to their so called hi speed reliable broadband service. TATA INDICOM BROADBAND SUCKS.

Thanks a lot Sourabh.. They will be wiped out from the industry if we spread what they are all about.. Still people take their connection, because They are a bit cheaper in price, feasibility of other ISP’s are not there etc..
We have to create a situation were Tata Indicom Broadband shuts down because there are no customers or they should face cases against them in consumer forums..
